- For extending the hitch carrier so that it can, for example, be fitted to a quad or an off-road vehicle with an external, low-mounted spare wheel
- This way, the hitch carrier sits behind the tyre, as the wheelbase is very short
- The unit is securely bolted between the hitch carrier and the quick-release
- Fits all Heck-Pack hitch carriers
Bolting the extension to the hitch carrier means the EEC-EU approval no longer applies. However, as the hitch carrier does NOT extend more than 1m beyond the rear of the vehicle, you may still drive on all public roads. If, however, the lighting or the number plate is obscured by the hitch carrier or by the load, additional lighting or a third number plate must be fitted.
